Baked Fresh-Cut French Fries

How to Make Baked Fresh-Cut French Fries | Food Drinks Life

Making fresh-cut french fries is easy! And with only 4 ingredients, you really can’t go wrong. This method ensures a crispy, crunchy exterior and soft, fluffy interior.

Instructions

Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Lightly grease foil. Set aside.

Fill a large pot with water and place potatoes inside. Bring to a boil, and allow to boil for about 10 minutes or until slightly fork tender. Remove from water and set aside.

Grind salt and pepper together. Set aside.

When potatoes are cool enough to touch, cut potatoes into 1/4" sticks. Place on baking sheet. Place on salt and pepper. If you want curried fries instead, sub the salt and pepper for 1 Tbsp. curry powder and 1/2 tsp of salt (or to taste).

Place in the oven. Remove every 5 minutes to flip. If you make them on a convection oven, be sure to stick close by because they will cook quickly but will burn easily.

Once crispy to preference, remove from the pan and place onto a paper towel-lined plate. Or eat right off the pan and get your fingers greasy like I did. Your choice.
