Can I talk to you guys for a little bit? I promise I’ll make this quick.
I try to aim toward evergreen content (posts that can be enjoyed at any time), but I had to talk to you kids about something important.
So last week, I sent out an email to my subscribers about things in my life that are happening. If you’re not subscribed to my newsletter, be sure to do that! I write things that don’t show up on the blog and once a week updates on new posts. Generally, I only send out one, maybe two a week, and I promise not to spam you!
Anyway, I sent out an email last week basically saying, my world has been flipped on its head in the last couple of weeks. I can’t get into specifics right now because they will be a part of other blog posts I am already working on. Yes, that is plural! I’m just a twenty-something trying to make it in this crazy world.
But I’ll tell you one thing– my beloved Legacy is either injured or damaged beyond the repairs that I am willing to put into that car. As much as I have loved my Subaru (#notsponsored), I can’t afford another repair for a car with 205,000 miles!
Side note; it might just be me, but there are a LOT of Subaru’s in Connecticut (and New England)! The snow here is no joke and that sweet, sweet, all-wheel drive is so helpful.
But back to where we were.
I’ve been doing a lot of car research. And for those who have done car research, you know it’s extremely extensive. I have changed my mind about a lot of certain cars due to it.
There have also been other things going on. All of it is a long story I don’t want to get into at the moment. But I’ll tell you guys the other half of everything that’s going on in probably the next week or two.

What I will say, however, is that I’m not 100% sure of the future of FDL going forward.
Whaaaaat???
Hold your pants, let me finish!
Since I’ve got a lot of important things happening in my life, Food Drinks life will probably take a backseat.
Don’t get me wrong; I want to post something every week for you kids.
But I put a lot of work and love into each post I make. And I do it all. Post writing, recipe writing, cooking, food photography, photo editing, text editing, emails and other social medias are all run by me. Ideally, writing gets done one day, pictures another, and editing on the last day. I could get everything done in a day if I really wanted to overwhelm myself.
When you put all of yourself into a project, things can get overwhelming.
So! This is my proposed plan.
I’m going to do my best to still post once a week. Right now, like I said, I’m having some struggles. Between my car, career, family, friends, myself, and non-blog tasks and I am struggling to get the posts out to the caliber that I want them to be.
So if you want to send me some love and encouragement, you can (and I do appreciate it!), but know that is where I am.
To me, this blog is so much more than a place where I write and share recipes and pictures with you. No, Food Drinks Life has become a very extension of my being. I have poured time and literal blood, sweat and tears into this project. I have come so far and met some amazing people along the way.
This isn’t my reg, or me being an upbeat happy person sharing my recipes with you and all that. I just want to keep you guys updated on my life as a blogger! I hope at some point I can pull up this post and see the progress I have made. And I know I will have learned so much by my year mark as well. You can probably expect a post on that!
Okay, I’m going to sign off now. ‘Til next time my dears.
